Zack The Great Crowned Red Bull Dance Your Style Kenya 2026 Champion

Kenya's street dance scene reached new heights on Saturday, 24 May 2026, as the country's most talented urban dancers battled it out at the highly anticipated Red Bull Dance Your Style Kenya National Finals held at the Tsavo Ballroom, KICC in Nairobi.

After an evening packed with energy, creativity, and fierce competition, Zack The Great emerged victorious, earning the title of Red Bull Dance Your Style Kenya 2026 Champion and securing his place on the global stage at the World Finals in Zurich, Switzerland later this year.

The competition brought together 16 of Kenya's best street dancers, each showcasing their unique style in a series of head-to-head freestyle battles. In a thrilling final showdown, Zack The Great outperformed crowd favourite King of Smiles, impressing the audience with his confidence, originality, and ability to adapt to every track thrown his way.

Unlike traditional dance competitions where judges determine the winner, Red Bull Dance Your Style puts the power entirely in the hands of the audience. Spectators vote after each battle using illuminated wristbands, rewarding the dancer who best connects with the crowd through movement, personality, and creativity.

Speaking after his victory, Zack described the moment as one of the biggest achievements of his dance career.

"Being crowned Red Bull Dance Your Style Kenya Champion is something truly special. The support from the dance community has been incredible, and I am honoured to represent Kenya on such a prestigious platform. There is so much talent in this country, and sharing the stage with these dancers was already a victory in itself," he said.

The newly crowned champion will now prepare to represent Kenya at the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Finals on 24 October 2026 in Zurich, where champions from 51 countries will compete for the global title.

For Zack, the international competition represents both a challenge and an opportunity.

"Competing in a completely new environment will definitely push me outside my comfort zone. I've never been to Zurich before, so understanding the crowd and adapting to a different atmosphere will be important. At the same time, it's a chance to grow, evolve, and showcase Kenyan dance culture to the world," he added.

Redbull Winner

Zack's journey in dance spans more than a decade. While he has been dancing for over 10 years, he began pursuing it professionally four years ago. His signature style combines elements of hip-hop, popping, and street dance influences, developed through years of dance sessions, ciphers, and collaboration with fellow dancers.

This year's national finals also attracted some of the world's most recognised street dance talents. Among the international guests were MT Pop, the 2024 Red Bull Dance Your Style World Champion; Luwam, a finalist at the 2024 World Finals; Luciano, the 2025 Netherlands Champion and global finalist; and Verb, a two-time South African champion and world finalist.

Beyond the competition itself, the international dancers engaged with Kenya's dance community through workshops and mentorship sessions, offering valuable insights and inspiration to emerging local talent.

The 2026 edition marked the sixth Kenyan chapter of Red Bull Dance Your Style, a competition that continues to grow in popularity across the country. Hosted by media personality Azeezah Hashim, the journey to the national finals began in March with qualifying rounds in Nairobi and Mombasa, showcasing the depth of talent within Kenya's rapidly expanding street dance culture.
